Summer Newsletter - June/July/August issue
Sedated Friends and Fans,
     Summer's here (almost) and as we take it easy over the next few month's we'll combine June, July and August into a single newsletter.  If this is too much info in one gulp, you're reminded that you can always check our website (http://www.slightlysedated.net) for up to date details or follow us on Facebook where we post our events. All in all, we still have plenty of opportunities to catch a variety of shows, so here's the summer lineup.

• Fri. June 6 - Private Party, Kennett Square Golf Club
  Several of you on our list are KSGC members, so we hope to see you poolside at the Kennett Square Golf Club.
  
• Sat. June 14 (6:00-10:00) - Full Band at The Market at Liberty Place, Kennett Square, PA (http://themarketatlibertyplace.com/)
  As our resident regular home in Kennett Square, The Market at Liberty Place is a 10,000 square foot space (a mini-Reading Terminal), that's home to an exciting mix of merchants selling freshly prepared foods, produce, and other retail goods. It is also designed to serve as a gathering place for members of the Kennett Square community.  Perfect for dining in, getting a fresh meal to go, or picking up your own organic ingredients, it's a convenient place to gather together with family and friends.  With so much to do and see, The Market at Liberty Place a perfect destination for a great night out with Slightly Sedated.  Please check out their vendor list at http://themarketatlibertyplace.com/.
  
• Sat. June 14 (7:00-10:00) - "Slightly Unplugged" Duo at The R Park Tavern - Ridley Park, PA (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100076206070900)
  As a little different twist, we'll bring our "Slightly Unplugged" acoustic duo show to the R Park, the regulars will get a slightly different repertoire from our normal appearances there as the full Slighly Sedated.  A bit more on the folk-rock and country side of things, as well as acoustic versions of rock classics, we hope you enjoy.
  One of Delco's hidden treasures, the R Park Tavern is a friendly and cozy neighborhood tavern with a delicious and varied pub grub menu that the locals rave about.  The "R Park" is easy to get to, located on Sellers Ave., just minutes from I-95 (Stewart Ave. exit).  "R Park" stands for Ridley Park of course, and we're hoping many of our Delco friends can make it out to enjoy the R Park hospitality, conviviality, food and drink, and our music.
  
• Weds. July 23 (7:30pm) - The Aston Brass Band at Dining Under the Stars, Media, PA (https://visitmediapa.com/dining-under-the-stars/)
  "And now for something completely different", Steve (on Tuba) and Lynn (on Tenor Sax) branch out on a side project with the newly formed "Aston Brass Band".  Built on New Orleans style brass bands, this group covers the Rebirth Brass Band, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and similar, as well as some brass-jazz-funk (a la Herbie Hancock), swing (Cab Calloway), Dixieland and 2nd line.  This will be their debut, so we hope you can help us kick off our quest to become Delco's hottest brass band (we may be Delco's only New Orleans style brass band), and you'll find us playing in front of Trader Joe's, where you can dine and dance in the streets. • Sun. Aug. 10 (2:00-5:00) - "Slightly Unplugged" Duo at Monaghan's Irish Pub, Essington, PA  (https://www.monaghanspub.com/)
  John and Steve return for a Sunday afternoon "Unplugged" acoustic show, which means a good chance for you to enjoy our music along with some "day drinking" at our favorite Irish pub.  Monaghan's is the coziest Irish Pub in Delco with the biggest and most delicious pub grub menu you'll ever experience.  With Wings, Sliders, Steaks, Hoagies, Flatbreads and a long list of appetizers, and they also feature a number of local craft brews on tap from Troegs, Victory Brewing, Golden Road, 2SP and Guinness (of course).  We often stay after our show just to eat at Monaghan's.  Full Menu and directions are available at https://www.monaghanspub.com/.
