April Newsletter - Sage Diner (4/4) Monaghan's (4/13), Kennett Market at Liberty Place (4/26) and more
Sedated Friends and Fans,
Another busy month ahead for us, with 3 shows
plus the "State Fair" musical and a Rose Tree Pops concert. "Slightly Unplugged" plays at a new venue The Sage Diner in Chichester (4/4) and Monaghan's Irish Pub (4/13), with the full band returning to The Market at Liberty Place in Kennett (4/26). Additionally Steve's supporting the pit orchestra for Rodgers & Hammerstein's "State Fair" (4/2, 4/5, 4/6),
and there's a Rose Tree Pops Orchestra concert (4/27). Here are the
details on each of these shows and we hope you make it out to some and to enjoy.
- Fri. Apr. 4 (7:00-10:00) - "Slightly Unplugged" Duo at The Sage Diner and Restaurant- Chichester, PA (https://sagedinerpa.com/)
As a new venue for "Slightly Unplugged", the Sage Diner and Restaurant
is a "Diner Delight" and much more. Their expansive spiral bound
menu has everything you could want or expect, and we personally scouted
the Sage in prep for our performance with rave reviews from everyone in
our dinner party. Even if you don't make it out to see us play,
we would recommend a trip to the Sage for breakfast, lunch or
dinner. Additionally with full bar service and live music, they
should be considered for the "Delco Diner Hall of Fame" (if there is
such a thing). With a sparkling atmosphere and family friendly,
we hope you can make it out to drink, dine, dance and enjoy an evening
of our music.
- April 2, 5 and 6 - Rose Valley Chorus & Orchestra's production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "State Fair" at Strath Haven Middle School, Wallingford, PA (https://www.rvco.org/)
State Fair features
an Academy Award-winning score by Rodgers and Hammerstein, including
“It Might as Well Be Spring”, “A Grand Night For Singing” and “Our
State Fair” and the Rose Valley Chorus and Orchestra's production is
community theater at it's finest. Based at the Iowa State Fair in
1946, the show will transport you to another time & place.
Dates, times and tickets are available on the RVCO website at https://www.rvco.org/.
- Sun. Apr.13 (2:00-5:00) - "Slightly Unplugged" Duo at Monaghan's Irish Pub, Essington, PA (https://www.monaghanspub.com/)
John
and Steve return for a Sunday afternoon "Unplugged" acoustic show,
which means a good chance for you to enjoy our music along with some
"day drinking" at our favorite Irish pub.
Monaghan's is the coziest Irish Pub in Delco with the biggest and most delicious pub grub menu you'll ever experience. With Wings, Sliders, Steaks, Hoagies, Flatbreads and a long list of appetizers, and they
also feature a number of local craft brews on tap from Troegs, Victory
Brewing, Golden Road, 2SP and Guinness (of course). We often stay after our show just to eat at Monaghan's. Full Menu and directions are available at https://www.monaghanspub.com/.
- Sat. Apr. 26 (6:00-10:00) - Full Band at The Market at Liberty Place, Kennett Square, PA (http://themarketatlibertyplace.com/)
As
our resident regular home in Kennett Square, The Market at Liberty
Place is a 10,000 square foot space (a mini-Reading Terminal), that's
home to an exciting mix of merchants selling freshly prepared foods,
produce, and other retail goods. It is also designed to serve as a
gathering place for members of the Kennett Square community.

own organic ingredients, it's a convenient place to gather together
with family and friends. With so much to do and see, The
